A "Little" Hockey (11/25 recap)
There was little room in the stands and even less room on the bench for Thunder's two-period turkey shoot with the little irish, wednesday nite, 25-nov, on the west rink at the shore. Could not swing a dead cat without hitting a Thunder alum, back on break with their noses pressed to the glass to see who was donning their old sweaters. Some even ventured into the tunnel to give the new guys the business about doing them proud. Sophomore keepers Cumming and Simonelli split time in the nets once again for the Thunder, while Dohr went the full thirty for AQ. On an early man advantage Thunder was setup in irish territory and working the puck around the horn, when a point-bound pass got intercepted, resulting in an AQ breakaway shortie. Later on in the half, AQ converted on the powerplay, picking up a loose rebound in front and putting it away for their second goal. Second half saw Thunder break the seal, when Andrew Sherry put slovakia on net and AC was there to pick up the trash and slip it through a crack in the Dohr. A while later AQ had a 2 on 0 jailbreak from their own blue-line, but A-Sim came up big to stone the attack and steer the play wide. That's all i got, there ain't no more, see everyone maƱana at the 'shore for a 9am turkey day tilt with Hilton!
